Greetings fellow HOBOers! As the newest HOBO President, thank you for taking the time to visit our website and read about who I am. My family served with me through 22 years of active-duty service to our great nation. Along the way, my wife Mary and our two boys, Brenen & Chase, spent some time in the River Region, and we fell in love with the lakes. For our final assignment, we requested to return to Maxwell, where after living on base for four years, and knowing the outstanding reputation for Holtville Schools, we were lucky enough to find a wonderful home on Lake Jordan (thank you to Kim Adams for the assist!)
I say "lucky enough" because we've been fortunate to live around the world. Though deployed to some not so savory locations, including multiples to Iraq and Afghanistan, we were stationed in San Antonio, Little Rock, Anchorage, Albuquerque, England, Ft Walton, and Germany. Lots of nice places, but none so nice as right here on the lake! To raise our boys, both teenagers, on this lake and in this community is a dream come true.
Thank you for the trust and confidence you've placed in me to assist our board, officers, committee and area reps with steering our organization ahead. Our service is to you and your family, and we encourage all to get involved. Nothing happens without good people leaning in. Please encourage your friends, neighbors, random fishermen and boaters, etc., to join and participate. There's a place for everybody to help, I promise! Kind regards, -Andy M.
